Email Setup for Windows Live Mail

 Please make sure you have the latest version of Windows Live Mail installed. 


 
1. Open Windows Live Mail, and click File.

2. Hover over options, then click Email accounts.

3. Click Add.

4. Click Email Account, then click Next.

Step 4



5. Enter the following details.

  • Your email address.
  • Your email password.
  • Your full name.
Make sure you tick the box marked 'Manually configure server settings'

6. Click Next

7. Select and enter the following details. 

Incoming Server Information.

  • Server type: IMAP
  • Server address: mail.domainname.??? (Eg: if you have 1800mobile.com.au it would be mail.1800mobile.com.au but if you had 1800mobile.net it would be mail.1800mobile.net)
  • Port: 993
  • Check the box 'Requires a secure connection (SSL)
  • Authenticate using: Clear text
  • Logon username: 'Enter your full email address, example info@1800mobile.com.au'

Outgoing Server Information

  • Server address: mail.domainname.??? (Eg: if you have 1800mobile.com.au it would be mail.1800mobile.com.au but if you had 1800mobile.net it would be mail.1800mobile.net)
  • Port: 465
  • Check the box 'Requires a secure connection (SSL) (*Note* When checking this box the Port will default to 25, change it again to 465)
  • Check the box 'Requires authentication'

Click Next.

Step 7


8. Your email is now setup in Windows Live Mail.

  •     Click Finish.
